If the reports from New Delhi are to be believed, former Chief Minister and outgoing Rajya Sabha member N Janardhan Reddy is most likely to be appointed as Governor of Rajasthan.
According to these reports, the Centre is contemplating appointing NJR in the existing vacancy in Rajasthan Raj Bhavan, in place of Prabha Rao, who died recently due to illness. The decision is also being thought of because NJR wants re-nomination to Rajya Sabha and there is heavy competition for party tickets. If he is sent as Rajasthan, it would ease the competition for RS seats to some extent.
Secondly, NJR has also become a headache for the Congress leaders in Nellore because of his differences with Anam group. The way he is promoting his son Ramkumar Reddy is also one of the reasons for shifting NJR from the state politics, sources said.
