National Renewable Energy Fellowships for M.Tech, JRF, SRF and PDF


National Renewable Energy Fellowships

Applications in prescribed proforma are invited from eligible candidates for the National Renewable Energy Fellowship by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to pursue an M.Tech /JRF/SRF/ /PDF in the field of renewable energy.

Eligibility:

1. M.Tech Fellowships: Students admitted into an M. Tech program in any higher education institute/university/deemed university and planning to undertake project work in renewable energy are eligible to apply. Additional criteria include GATE qualification with 85 percentile and minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Sc.

2. Junior Research Fellowships: Candidates must either have 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in B.E/ B.Tech with a valid GATE score of 85 percentile or must have 60% marks in M.Sc. (preference will be given to NET qualified candidate) and Candidate should have been admitted for Ph.D. in any branch of renewable energy in any higher educational institutes/universities.

3. Senior Research Fellowships: MSc, BE, BTech with minimum 60% marks and at least two years of post MSc, BE, BTech, research experience as evidence from fellowship/ associateship or traineeship and published papers in standard refereed journals OR ME, M.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks They should also be registered for PhD in renewable energy area.

4. Post Doctoral Fellowships: The minimum qualification is Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in the field of Renewable Energy.

L&T Build-India Scholarships for M.Tech. in IITs

M.Tech - Construction Technology & Management IIT ( Delhi , Madras)


ECC - the Construction Division of Larsen and Toubro will sponsor fresh, deserving engineering graduates interested in pursuing M.Tech in Construction Technology in IIT (Delhi, Madras). The scholarships signify ECC's keenness to enhance the interface between educational institutions and industry. The 24-month course will begin in July 2010.

Qualifications: First-ciass graduates with minimum aggregate average of 65% marks in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering who will pass out in 2010 from a recognized Indian University / Institute.

Age: Not more than 23 years as on 01-07-2010.
Minimum Height: 160 cm. Minimum Weight: 50 kg.
Vision: If wearing glasses, power should be less than ±5.0 diopters.

Selection Process involves written tests / interview conducted by IIT (Delhi / Madras) in coordination with L&T ECC. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.

Scholarship: For the 24-month course, L&T will pay candidates a stipend of Rs.9000/- per month and also pay sponsorships to IITs.

Absorption: Those who successfully complete the course will be considered for absorption in regular employment in accordance with the terms and conditions of the company. Total emoluments on absorption at current rates exceed Rs.2,95,000 per annum on cost-to-company basis. L&T offers excellent career prospects.

Undertaking: Before the course, candidates selected will have to execute an undertaking for a value of Rs.3,00,000 to complete the course and subsequently, if selected for employment, to serve the company for a minimum period of 5 years.
